The first release models the Apollo 11 moon landing site where visitors can perform some of the early experiments as part of the Early Apollo Scientific Experiments Package (EASEP). Within virtual reality, visitors will experience a view from inside a space suit as they perform mission tasks. In-game spectator cameras will allow visitors who are waiting in line to see multiple views of the lunar surface from the perspective of original on board exterior and surface cameras. These multiple views will be rendered on high definition displays located around the Innovation Lab for all to see. Planned for a future release is GLOBE on the Moon. Users will use modified GLOBE protocols using virtual instruments to collect soil and measure surface temperature.

I just updated HoloGLOBE to v1.0.2. For those of you new to this app, HoloGLOBE brings NASA and NOAA visualizations of the Earth to the palm of your hand through augmented reality (AR). You can read more about the app here: http://www.palmyracove.org/InstituteforEarthObservations/HoloGLOBE.aspx

In this latest release, I have added play/pause functionality to the MyNASAData module. The MyNASAData is essentially an augmented reality version of GLOBE's Earth System Poster. In addition the new ICESat-2 module has been added. The ICESat-2 module was built by Emme Wiederhold, a student at Washington University, during her Summer 2018 internship at NASA Goddard. Finally, I disabled VR Mode for iOS devices only. This is the result of a bug in the foundation software of which the app is built upon. If the demand is high enough I will rebuild the app on the newest software and re-enable VR Mode. Disabling VR Mode simply means that you are not able to use a headset with an iPhone; however, you will still enjoy the AR experience.

	Original Probing Questions

What is the current water quality of the Monocacy Creek: upstream, downstream, and where it flows into the Lehigh River and the Delaware River?

Can a trend be identified using historical data and current data?

What is the cause of any disparity?

Can our results be related to local climate changes?

What is the current water quality of the Monocacy Creek where it flows through the uninhabited, historic village under a bridge?

What effect does stocking have on water quality?

What is the cause of any disparity?

How does our data compare to Waterways Conservation Officer’s data?

	Conclusions:

To date, based upon our testing data, there is no significant change in water quality that is caused by the bridge or adjacent runoff - ¨This is probably due to the swiftness of the creek

Comparison with the Waterways Conservation Officer’s data were unremarkable

From Learning to Research Summer Institute was a great opportunity for me. It helped me collaborate with teachers I would never get the opportunity to connect with on a regular basis. It allowed me to see that I have the same experiences as many other teachers. In addition, it reminded me how special you have to be in order to teach. Many of my fellow collegues struggle with the constraints of the teaching world but because they care for their students, they make it work. You definitely have to have a calling to do what we do and I met some really great people who are serving their community proudly.

I surprisingly learned that I am interested in going back to school. During the L2R Summer Institute, I was able to learn new things. It provoked my interest in learning again. I forgot how much joy I got out of gaining new knowledge and I thank GLOBE for giving me the opportunity to enjoy learning again.

I appreciate the GLOBE staff as well. They had so many people to deal with and they were extremely accomadating. GLOBE should be proud to have folks like Julie and Dawn be apart of their staff.
