Dear forum members,
We want to share an exciting experience from our Trnsko nursery this autumn! A group of 26 cheerful children and two dedicated educators decided to participate in the phenological campaign. Our focus is on the plants Betula pendula and Tilia platyphillos, and we'll tell you what we've learned so far.
Betula pendula, more commonly known as silver birch, represents an interesting and recognizable species of tree easily identified by its white bark. Our children were delighted to study the leaves of this plant and compare their changes as time passed. Given the phenological campaign, we paid special attention to the onset of leaf fall and the color changes of the leaves during autumn. First observation leaves: 1. 5GY 5/10 2. 5GY 5/10 3. 5GY 5/10 4. 5GY 5/10
We also have the opportunity to observe Tilia platyphillos, known as the large-leaved linden, which is also an interesting and valuable plant. First observation leaves: 1. 5GY 4/8 2. 5GY 4/8 3. 5GY 4/8 4. 5GY 4/8 In addition to observing plants, we are learning about the importance of preserving nature and caring for the environment. This phenological campaign provided us with the opportunity to discuss how our children can contribute to nature conservation and become responsible citizens.
