Greetings from the Elementary School "Mustafa Pećanin" - Rožaje, Montenegro!
My name is mr Bešida Tiganj and my students are VII, VIII and IX class, eight of them, have 12 years to 15 years. We watched the cherry tree and given the name of the tree Daisy.
Activity 1 – My Tree
The cherry tree is a deciduous tree located in the village of Bačevac.Its current height is 1,87m.
The tree is young and slender with a thin trunk and branched branches that spread towards the top. Buds, 8mm long,are clearly visible on the branches . The tree is now under snow and despite the low temperatures,the buds continue to develop. It is located at an altitude of 1154,8m, which means that it grows in a mountainous area with a colder climate.
Given that the vegetation in our region is late,the cherry free in Bačevac blooms a little later than in the lower areas.The current temperature is -0,5C. Its latitude coordinates are north-south: 42 83.723-north of the equator.Longitude is east-west: 20 13.669,east of Greenwich.
The cherry tree comes from the Latin name runus cerasus.It belongs to the Prunus cerasus and belongs to the Rosaceae family. Our tree is called Daisy. We decided on this name because it seemed ideal for a cheerful and gentle tree.
