Teachers and students of the Middle School L. Da Vinci in Marcallo want to thank you all, for all the wonderful activities proposed in the European Phenology Campaigns. We thank very much the Europe and Eurasia Regional Country Coordinators for the opportunity to know so many other schools in Europe and to share data.     <summary type="html">Hi, everyone!&lt;br /&gt;In Marcallo autumn is showing its best colors, as temperature and solar radiation are slowly decreasing.     <summary type="html">Hello! Students of the Middle School in Marcallo are observing different&lt;br /&gt;trees in the school garden: birches, maples, mulberry, cherry and hazel.&lt;br /&gt;At the end of summer (Mid-September) our trees looked suffering, with&lt;br /&gt;some dry branches and, in one case, with no leaves at all. We think it&lt;br /&gt;depends on the extremely hot temperatures registered in August and the&lt;br /&gt;widespread infestation by parasitic insects (Hyphantria cunea). Air&lt;br /&gt;temperature was high until Mid September (average 21-22 degrees&lt;br /&gt;Celsius); last week we recorded a huge amount of rainfall and a relevant&lt;br /&gt;drop in minimum temperature (average 14-15 degrees Celsius).   Here are&lt;br /&gt;our first observations!     <summary type="html">Hi!&lt;br /&gt;On the last decade of November our observed trees wore their best suit and our schoolgarden appeared very beautiful, with yellow, orange and red colors everywhere!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;CURLY MAPLE (Acer platanoides)&lt;br /&gt;On November 25th the weather was cloudy (overcast). air temperature at 13:30 was 7°C.
