Thanks, we are definately going to have schools who need access to their past data sooner rather than later. It's built into their lesson plans for the new students review the school's past data and make sense of it before learning how to collect their own data. That's the process we model in order to build long term support for the program within a single school. The legacy link will work for them until the new site provides what they need!

Data visualization will be rolled out over the coming months as was announced at the 2012 Partner meeting due to the ongoing refactoring and migration from Oracle to Postgres of the Science Database.

Access to the refactored protocol data is via the new visualization system and the new Postgres database after you have logged in at http://www.globe.gov/explore-science/finding-globe-data.

Legacy data read only access is available via http://training-viz.globe.gov, which is slow due to legacy hardware and software and has some display issues.

All of the GLOBE data appears to be in the database, however it does not appear to all be accessible to the community. Is this true? Maybe all of the data is available and I just can't find it?

I see two locations of the data now:

1: A subset of data visible in the GLOBE visualizations section. This section clearly states that all the data isn't available now but that it will be brought in over the next few months. That is find.

2: Site data attached to each GLOBE school account. This appears to be just the site definition data for each site, not the protocol data attached to each site.

What about all of the data that isn't available visually yet - how does a school access this,

My feature request is, please allow schools access to all GLOBE data, at least in raw form.

I'm fearful that teachers will return to school in the next 1-3 weeks and not be able to access their data. They will have to change their lesson plans to accommodate not having the data...they won't be expecting this.
