FYI - the error is being caused by some code that is pointing to the wrong URL. While we're working on the fix, you can try prefixing this to the path you listed above:

https://Assets.globe.gov

So in the example you posted, you can retrieve your file here:

https://assets.globe.gov/adatq/data/GLOBEMeasurementData-18253.zip

We’ll get it fixed as soon as possible, but it may take until tomorrow.

Alternatively you can try the API - https://api.globe.gov/search/swagger-ui.html
That’s another way to get the data – more for writing a program to retrieve, so it’s not as intuitive an interface, but it’s very fast once you become familiar with it.

Thank you for the message. Unfortunately the maps used by the GLOBE data entry system are relatively low resolution and have caused some issues for various GLOBE countries. We have received approval to use improved, higher resolution maps and are working to implement them. This issue will be resolved at that time. We expect to have the new maps in place within the next 2 months.

Looks like it just started coming through. Data is sent once every 24 hours by Davis to GLOBE, so it can sometimes take a little time for it to start showing up...Here's a link to a popup with today's data from your site - available from the vis system...(vis.globe.gov). If you're logged in, you can click the little person icon and "Show My Sites" to highlight your site on the map.

For the popup..click the link below which shows data from 1/14/21 and your site ID:

Vladimir - you are correct - the issue stems from the resolution of the country map we used with the tool. You can see on the picture below - the grey area reflects the resolution of two maps we use - the lower resolution map (darker grey) just misses the two schools in the area shown.

We will be meeting tomorrow to discuss the different maps used. Unfortunately, higher resolution maps slow the data retrieval, but of course lower resolution maps can result in this type of issue.

Hi Melody - Just took a look and was able to submit a measurement..Servers all look like they're working okay. Will send a separate note and update back here when we find the resolution. Couple things to check:
1) Try sending one submission at a time rather than all your data at one time (if you have more than one measurement)
2) Try going through and editing one of the submissions and then resubmitting to make sure there's nothing strange with the data.
3) Make sure you are on a strong wifi signal

There's also a step by step powerpoint presentation that walk you through how to connect your Davis to report to the Davis site, and then via email data entry to GLOBE:

One area that tends to give people trouble is the org and site id - take a look to make sure you're entering the correct IDs into the Davis software.

make sure you select the protocol(s) you want before the filter.

We did see the system was very busy on Friday, it's also possible you were seeing an artifact of the system under heavier load..Can you check if it's okay now, and/or make sure the protocol is selected first?

GLOBE Observer currently requires Android version 5.x. We will be looking to see what we can do to support older versions after our next release.
