Hi everyone!

My name is Julie Malmberg and I work with The GLOBE Program. At GLOBE, I am the PI on an NSF-ITEST grant, called "From Learning to Research." For the grant, we are working to create a model for student-teacher-scientist interaction using 21st Century Skills. This is our second year of the grant and we are working with our second group of teachers from the US. In total, we have worked closely with about 75 teachers all from the US. The culminating project each school year is a student virtual conference hosted on globe.gov.

My other job at GLOBE is managing the Student Climate Research Campaign (SCRC). For this campaign, we work with students and teachers around the world to investigate their local climates. We have IOPs (Intensive Observing Periods), webinars, competitions, climate activities, and student reports.

I have my MS from the University of Illinois in Atmospheric Sciences and am currently a PhD candidate at the University of Colorado at Boulder in Geography. I also have been teaching online college courses in Meteorology and Geography since 2003.
