Estonia Hosts GRLE 2015
This year Estonia hosted the annual GLOBE Regional Learning Expedition (GRLE 2015), which took place from 3-6 August 2015 in Nelijärve, Estonia. This event was organized much in part by GLOBE Alumni and was a celebration of the GLOBE Program’s 20th year.

GLOBE Students from the Anglo-Czech High School CAG in Ceske Budejovice Help Protect Local Stream
Since 2003, students at the Anglo-Czech High School CAG in Ceske Budejovice, Czech Republic have been taking measurements of the Dobrovodsky stream (a stream which flows near the school) at five different sites. In 2011, the students focused their efforts on the impact of human activities on the water quality of the stream.

Utajärvi Upper Secondary School Presents GLOBE Data in St. Petersburg
The teachers, (both GLOBE teachers) Mrs. Liisa Virta and Mrs. Aila Raappana, with their students, Jenna Rimpeläinen and Olga Nissinen, presented about the GLOBE program and how their school observes weather.

Participating in the Surface Temperature Field Campaign: Green Walls and “Surf” at the Notre Dame School in the Dominican Republic

Ukraine's Student Phenology Campaign "Cherry Ukraine"
GLOBE Ukraine held a Student Phenology Campaign called "Cherry Ukraine." The campaign lasted from February--May 2015. The science of observing budburst/ greenup of cherry trees proved to be attractive and simple for students of all grades, and could be widely applied to to engage the community.

Building Water Rockets Introduces Students to Aspects of Satellite Launching
Students in Kenya, build water rockets to learn how satellites are launched and to understand the linkage between Engineering and Science. The "Water Rockets" event took place at St. Scholastica Catholic School in Nairobi.

India's CloudSat Team and Students - Ten Years of Studying the Clouds
CloudSat has been in orbit since 2006 and GLOBE students in India have been involved with CloudSat since the very beginning. Over the years, a fruitful collaboration between the NASA CloudSat Education Network and schools in the Punjab has kept GLOBE students looking to the skies for clues about the weather.

Saudi Arabia's Earth Day Celebrations in Taif City
In Saudi Arabia, all supervisors, teachers, and students, in all Educational Directorates under the guidance of the Ministry of Education, take care to celebrate all international days that celebrate planet Earth, based largely on events shown in the GLOBE calendar. Earth Day is widely celebrated, every year.

NASA Administrator Charles Bolden Meets with GLOBE Students in Peru
NASA Administrator. Mr. Bolden, on a brief stay in Lima to meet with heads of the Peruvian scientific community, made a special trip to Callao to speak with GLOBE Students. It's special opportunities like this that make participating in GLOBE inspiring and fun!
