A special partnership between GLOBE students in Finland and South Africa is demonstrating both the scientific and educational benefits of the GLOBE Program worldwide. Their partners in Eno, Finland, at the Enon kirkonkylan ala-aste, have been consistently reporting GLOBE data since fall 1995. According to GLOBE Teacher Mika Vanhanen, his students have a special interest in sharing data and collaborating with GLOBE students worldwide.  >>

A special partnership between GLOBE students in Finland and South Africa is demonstrating both the scientific and educational benefits of the GLOBE Program worldwide. The Groot Brakrivier Secondary School of South Africa initiated their GLOBE Program as an extra-curricular activity with over 150 students and two trained GLOBE teachers.  >>

GLOBE Stars in Croatia
On November 12-13, 1998, principals from forty-one Croatian GLOBE schools participated in a special conference hosted by GLOBE schools OS Konjscina, OS Matija Gubec, and OS Marija Bistrica and organized by Croatian GLOBE Country Coordinator Diana Garasic. The conference provided principals a better understanding of the GLOBE science and education activities and of what schools gain through implementation of the Program.  >>

In their effort to diligently record and report atmospheric measurements, the students at Morehead Elementary in Morehead, Kentucky are not only helping scientists but they are also making history! In January 1999, Morehead Elementary became the 3000th GLOBE school to report data to the GLOBE Student Data Archive!  >>

The contributions to science being made by GLOBE students at Gymnasium Bäumlihof in Basel, Switzerland were highlighted at a recent celebration of the school's 25th anniversary. The students presented posters and demonstrated GLOBE instruments and protocols before an audience of over 500 alumni and students.  >>
