The plastic and clay pots were compared in terms of their preservation of soil temperature and moisture. Pottery proved it. This was tested by applying the soil and air protocol and finding the average soil moisture and temperature for both types of pots. The results showed that the pottery maintained reasonable humidity and temperature suitable for plant growth, unlike plastic pots. Because pottery has characteristics, including that it is porous, it helps the soil to get rid of excess moisture and heat, and thus helps to aerate the soil, unlike plastic pots.
