The high school of Sabotsy Namehana named “Lycee Andrinampoinimerina” is situated in 10 km from the capital city of Antananarivo, Madagascar.
The main problem occurs in this area remains the access to drinking water. Moreover, the drought happened in 2016 throughout Madagascar seems affected the river nearby.
This problem incited our curiosity and conducted us to focused on. The questions are: 1/is the quality of water from the wells healthy? 2/ what should be the risk on the population’s health by drinking water from these wells ?
Consequently, the GLOBE team (teachers and students) in our school created this project concerning the drinking water problem.
Data from hydrology were collected by the students, especially on the pH water from the wells found in the surrounding villages.
The result of these data collecting showed that the water in this area is generally acidic with pH value around 5.9.
