Help GLOBE Reach “Match to a Million: The GLOBE Program’s Countdown to a Million Satellite Matches”
Cloud observations submitted to The GLOBE Program, and to the program’s app, GLOBE Observer, are “pulled” by the NASA GLOBE Clouds team at NASA Langley Research Center (NASA LaRC) and matched to satellite data. GLOBE is fast approaching one million satellite matches – and the program needs your help to ensure that this goal is reached by the time the GLOBE Annual Meeting takes place in July.

Your Help Finding Mosquito Breeding Sites in Old Tires is Needed! Join the GLOBE Mission Mosquito “Spare Tire Blitz” (March-June 2022)
In a recent blog, Dr. Russanne Low (Science Lead for the GO MHM and senior scientist with the Institute for Global Environmental Strategies in Arlington, Virginia, USA) discussed the Spare Tire Blitz, “During the blitz, scientists are asking for your Mosquito Habitat Mapper observations. With this information, scientists will be able to document where female mosquitoes are using spare or discarded tires as breeding sites.”

U.S. Middle/High School Educators: The ENGAGE (Earth, NASA, GLOBE and Guided Explorations) GLOBE Mission Earth program is providing an opportunity for you to participate in a year-long program to explore ways to help your students improve their observation and science writing skills using The GLOBE Program.

GLOBE Volunteers: Join GLOBE Observer Connection-Conversation-Celebration (GO C3) Event on 26 July
Volunteers of all ages are welcome to join together for a celebration of GLOBE citizen science on 26 July 2022 from 07-09 pm EDT (11-1 UTC). At “GO C3,” volunteers will connect with others who participate in The GLOBE Program using its app, GLOBE Observer; hear presentations from GLOBE volunteers; talk to scientists and learn what they are doing with GLOBE data; and meet GLOBE Observer support staff.

NASA Seeks STEM Teachers to Develop/Test Science Curriculum (Grades 05-12) Designed to Use Resources for Teaching Systems Science
NASA Heliophysics Education Activation Team (HEAT) is seeking highly motivated, creative STEM teachers to help develop and test science curriculum designed to use NASA resources for teaching systems science. (Systems Science is an interdisciplinary field that studies the complexity of systems in nature.) Receive $2,500 stipend, plus NASA resources for the classroom, for participating in 52 hours of virtual workshop time and pilot-testing co-developed lessons in the classroom!
