GLOBE Virtual Student Conference 06-31 May 2013

The GLOBE Virtual Student Conference is a fantastic opportunity for GLOBE students to showcase their research investigations and to have their projects reviewed by scientists and fellow students.

The conference seeks to engage students in a careful examination of their own research for presentation and to develop content and communication skills in the process. Students will find the online venue to be a uniquely engaging means of having a conversation about their research with other students around the world.

15 March – 15 April

Open call for entries. There is no limit to the number of entries per student or per school.

06 – 31 May

All entries submitted will appear on the 2013 Virtual Conference webpages. Everyone in the GLOBE community can view the student projects and those with GLOBE accounts can post comments and questions.

THE GLOBE Program piloted the first Virtual Student Conference in 2012. To prepare for your entry this year, you might want to view the projects submitted in 2012 in the following investigation areas:

Phenology and Earth as a System

Landcover/ Biology

Hydrology

Atmosphere

See the GLOBE website for full instructions on how to participate in the 2013 Virtual Student Conference. We look forward to your participation.
