New GLOBE Website - Update

A buzz is in the air at The GLOBE Program Office. In a few short months, GLOBE will launch its new website. It will change the way our global community of teachers, students and scientists interact with one another, enter meaningful data and learn.

A critical part of the website implementation process involves working in a collaborative fashion with NASA and our project partners at Raytheon to ensure a smooth transition from the current and classic GLOBE Program websites to the new one.

The next step in the implementation process involves two separate testing phases. The first of which will begin 12 December. At that time, a small group of testers will take the website for an informal "test drive." The objective is to examine the overall functionality of the new website and provide meaningful feedback and input. In advance of this process, GLOBE would like to thank members from the following groups for agreeing to participate.
-       The Chartered International Globe.gov Website Redesign Committee
-       The GLOBE International Advisory Committee (GIAC) Technical Committee
-       The US Partner regional advisory Committee Technology Sub-Committee (PRAC)

Soon after the first testing stage is complete, GPO will ask a broader coalition of supporters to provide additional feedback on the features, functionality and enhancements to the website. If you would like to participate in Stage 2 testing, send us an email at newglobe@globe.gov so we can include you in the process.

On a parallel track, the GLOBE Tech Team is pleased to announce it has restored operation to the visualization system on the classic GLOBE website. It is important to note that some visualization features may not be accessible due to the upcoming transition to the new website.
