Still Time to Register for Upcoming GLOBE/SMAP Soil Moisture Feld Campaign Webinar: 01 March

GLOBE/SMAP Field Campaign

There’s still time to register for the next GLOBE Program/SMAP webinar, which will be held on 01 March 2016 (11 a.m. ET/4 p.m. UTC), and is entitled: “Heading into the Spring Thaw and Global Shout-Outs to all the GLOBE Schools/Teams Collecting SMAP Soil Moisture Data."

The webinar will highlight the upcoming spring thaw in the Northern Hemisphere, discuss the campaign measurements with SMAP scientists, reveal new data counts, and provide a report by Dr. Kevin Czajkowski from the University of Toledo (Ohio, USA). The NASA SMAP Soil Moisture Field Campaign is currently underway (it began 1 October 2015), and will run through 30 April 2016.

You can visit the GLOBE/SMAP Soil Moisture Measurement Field Campaign web pages to follow all of the current campaign information and updates -- including past webinars, blogs, and everything you need to know about collecting soil moisture measurements using the SMAP Block Pattern Soil Moisture Protocol, as well as view the protocol instructional video.

And catch up on all of the SMAP blog posts, including the most recent blog by Brian Campbell (Senior NASA Earth Flight Science Education and Communication Specialist): “Soil Moisture and Human Health.”
