Northeast and Mid-Atlantic Regional Science Fair 10-11 March: Register by 16 February!
The Northeast and Mid-Atlantic Regional Science Fair will be held on 10-11 March at the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland, USA.
Teachers, students, US Partnerships, scientists, and alumni from the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic geographic area (DE, DC, CT, ME, MD, MA, NH, NJ, NY, PA, RI, VT, VA, WV) are invited to gather and discuss GLOBE student research projects at the first annual US regional conference.
This two-day event will include judging of the science fair entries, a tour of NASA Goddard facilities, professional development for teachers and networking opportunities for participants. There will be plenty of time to discuss collaborating within the region too.
The United States GLOBE Regional Science Fair Leadership Team is hosting a teacher professional development webinar, “Communicating Results aka Creating an Awesome Poster!” on Thursday, 11 February at 1:00 p.m. MST (3:00 p.m. EST).
The goal of the webinar is to help teachers and students prepare entries for the U.S. Regional Science Fairs and the 2016 GLOBE International Virtual Science Fair. Once students analyze their data and write their conclusions, it is time for them to put it all together in a scientific poster. While this can be a daunting task, Dr. Liz Burakowski will talk you through the techniques that helped her create award-winning posters for her conferences!
