Opportunities for Educators: Attend the American Geophysical Union (AGU) Annual Meeting in December 2016


Planning to attend the American Geophysical Union (AGU) Annual Meeting, December 12-16, in San Francisco? The GLOBE Program is providing educators, currently engaged in implementing GLOBE, with the opportunity to submit abstracts and present at the conference during GLOBE focused-sessions.  The registration fee will be waived for formal K-12 and informal educators who are accepted. 
 
1) For those using The GLOBE Program in a park, environmental education center, refuge, museum, or other place-based education program:

  • Submit your abstract to present in a GLOBE-focused session, Climate Literacy: Bringing Citizen Science to Place-based Climate Change Education,
  •  Abstracts can be submitted through the link below by 11:59 pm ET on August 3, 2016.

2) For those using The GLOBE Program for taking environmental measurements to help students (of any age) understand Earth science concepts:
