GLOBE Students Present Research Results at Third Meeting of Technical Secondary Schools in Mexico
Seventy-nine GLOBE Students from 13 Mexico City technical secondary schools gathered on 15 November 2012 to present research papers they wrote using GLOBE student data collected from 2009 to 2012. The event was held as part of the Third Meeting of Young GLOBE and took place at the Center for Technology Innovation in Education (CITE) of Mexico City.

The Next Generation of GLOBE Climate Scientists in Peru
The year 2011 brought new challenges and developments for the GLOBE community in Peru. A group of students from the National Agrarian University-La Molina, interested in the Student Climate Research Campaign (SCRC) and the 2013 GLOBE Learning Expedition, have worked hard to disseminate the SCRC in Peru and to consolidate their knowledge and research skills.

Students Conduct Research Near Santa Barbara Channel Islands During 2011 Ocean for Life Field Study
Twenty-eight high school students from seven countries in the Near East-North Africa (NENA) GLOBE region and 12 locations in North America participated in the second Ocean for Life field study from 14 - 26 July 2011, aimed at increasing cultural understanding through ocean science.

GLOBE Teacher Receives Prize for Environmental Education Work in Chile
On 22 October 2009, GLOBE Professor Raúl Pérez Orellana accepted an award for his work in environmental education in Chile. Pérez Orellana received recognition at a special event in honor of Environmental Leader Day, having aquired nomination through his contributions to environmental education.
