2022 Spring Tree (Phenology) Campaign

Watch trees waking up from winter sleep
You will watch how the tiny buds swell, open and grow into bright green leaves. Enjoy the short activities that will take you and your students outside. All you need is paper, a pencil and a ruler.
What can you expect in the spring campaign?
- 5 short green-up activities sent to you between February and June
- 4 activities focused on the role of trees in the carbon cycle
- Tree height measurement activity
- Opportunity to earn virtual badges for collaboration and data entry (only for registered schools)
- 4 webinars, where you learn about phenology, meet scientists from the USA and other students and teachers.
- International cooperation within the School Collaboration group. Compare the timing of the spring tree change, plan shared activities and practise your language skills.
- Sharing your results at the campaign discussion forum
