Let´s see what interesting GLOBE projects, challenges and campaigns going on in the year 2023.

  • IVSS - January 1 to March 10 projects accepted

The GLOBE Intern  ational Virtual Science Symposium (IVSS) is a way  for students from all GLOBE countries to sh           owcase the results of their research projects. Now it's time for your students to show the world what they've learned! The theme for this year's IVSS is Global Connections: Investigating Earth as a System Together. Students are encouraged to explore the Earth as a System Protocol Bundles and use them as tools to investigate their environmental research questions.

  •                    GLOBE Student Vloggers – Applications for 2023/2024 are open – deadline is 01 March

GLOBE is seeking the next cohort of 12 students (two from each GLOBE region) to volunteer as GLOBE Student Vloggers (GSVs). This position is competitive; the deadline to apply is 01 March.

 

​​​​​​            ​​​​​​​The Campaign will continue with spring budburst and green up observations, carbon cycle activities, international collaboration and much more. Registration is open from February.

​​​​​​​Year 5 of the Trees Around the GLOBE Student Research Campaign with participants from 60 GLOBE countr  ies focus es on the
theme “Looking at Change Over Time and Organizing Student Research.” This year, the campaign will focus deep on getting students really focused on the trees and land cover in their local regions by taking a detailed look at the characteristics in every land cover and tree height photo they take.

  • GLOBE Meeting of Mentor Trainers and Trainers - March 19-21, Prague, Czech Republic

  • Water Bodies Challenge – March 22 - May 20

  • Rivers in Spring (World Water Day) – March 22, Italy, with on-line international dimension (organized by GLOBE Italy)

  • Earth Day and The GLOBE Program birthday – April 22

  • Student Conference - May 25-26, Prague, Czech Republic (organized by GLOBE Czech Republic)

  • ​​​​​​​​2023 GLOBE Annual Meeting – July 15-21, Denver, Colorado, USA

  • Baltic GLOBE Learning Expedition - August 7-10, Estonia ​​​​​​​- open also for non Baltic Sea GLOBE countries from Europe and Eurasia Region (organized by GLOBE Estonia)

  •  ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Europe and Eurasia GLOBE Regional Meeting - October 16-20, Riga, Latvia​​​​​​​
