Earth Science Week

Since October 1998, the American Geological Institute (AGI) has organized Earth Science Week, a national and international event to help the public gain a better understanding and appreciation for the Earth Sciences and to encourage stewardship of the Earth. This year's Earth Science Week will be held from 14-20 October and will celebrate the theme Discovering Careers in Earth Science, and engage young people and the public in learning how geoscientists gather and interpret data about the Earth and other planets.
