Pre-Service Teacher Certification in the Atmosphere Protocols

Pre-service teachers are encouraged to participate in co-curricular activities. During the summer of 2018, multiple TSU pre-service teachers participated in the NASA Minority University Research and Education Program (MUREP) at the US Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama. A student enrolled in GEOG 1010 in Summer 2019 was selected to participate in a REU at the University of Toledo. Also, TSU's GLOBE ME affiliated Undergrad Research Assistant participated in the GLOBE International Virtual Student Science Symposium. TSU undergrads have also presented their GLOBE-based work and research at the HBCU Climate Change Conference in New Orleans, LA in November 2019.

September 2018

Dr. David A. Padgett leads a GLOBE workshop for HBCU faculty, students, and researchers at the 6th Annual HBCU Climate Change Conference, September 19-23, New Orleans, Louisiana.
