The GLOBE Mission Mosquito (GMM) webinar, “Mosquito Condos?” will be held on Thursday, 10 March, at 01:00 p.m. EST (05:00 p.m. UTC).
Improperly discarded automobile tires provide refuge for numerous vector and nuisance mosquitoes. The profusion of tires in the United States along roadsides, undeveloped properties, and areas near human activity promote artificial habitats that support mosquito populations.
The T.R.E.A.D. Mosquito Management Program is using The GLOBE Program’s app, GLOBE Observer Mosquito Habitat Mapper App to educate the public, provide research data, and help clean up the streets burdened with these unwanted mosquito sanctuaries. Participants will learn about joining the upcoming Tire Blitz too!
