20 March: GLOBE Mission EARTH Teacher Webinar: “Local Weather Forecasting Using GLOBE Observations”

"Ticket" to 20 March teacher webinar on local forecasting

U.S. Community: GLOBE Mission EARTH will host a webinar on Tuesday, 20 March (8:00 p.m. EDT): “Local Weather Forecasting Using GLOBE Observations.” The presenter will be Dr. Bruce Anderson, a Professor in the Department of Earth and Environment at Boston University. A student follow-up webinar will be held on Friday, 23 March (1:00 p.m. EDT).

Weather and its day-to-day changes are omnipresent in a child’s life. Observing weather and its day-to-day changes allows students to interact with their environment, take measurements, make predictions, and establish deep foundational knowledge called for by the standards.

During this webinar, participants will discuss how measurements made as part of using GLOBE protocols can help students in all of these endeavors through the lens of local weather forecasting.
