The U.S. GLOBE Regional Student Research Symposia (SRS) give students and educators an opportunity to share the results of their GLOBE scientific research projects, get feedback from knowledgeable reviewers, engage in peer review, and participate in experiential learning activities.

This spring, with support from NASA (Grant No. 80NSSC18K0135) and YLACES (Youth Learning as Citizen Environmental Scientists), the U.S. GLOBE Office will be supporting in-person local events. Proposal Deadline: 01 February.

Details

To complete this form, you will need information on how you and your students will travel to the SRS (method of travel, length of travel, basic cost estimates). Your request for funding should cover travel for you and two to four students.

During the next few months — as you and your students develop a student research investigation — assistance will be provided by a local partner, scientist or other member(s) of the GLOBE community. If needed, you will be connected with a local GLOBE partner through this form to discuss further details.

This application is due February 1, 2023. You will be notified of funding decisions by late February or early March 2023.
Please note: Teacher-student teams providing their own travel expenses are invited and welcome to the SRS! We also encourage all GLOBE students to submit research projects to the GLOBE International Virtual Science Symposium.
