Registration is Opening in February for the Regional Student Research Symposia
U.S. GLOBE Partners, educators, and students: it’s almost time for the 2025 Regional Student Research Symposia (SRS). The symposia offer students in grades 5–12 the chance to discuss research projects with STEM professionals, share ideas with and learn from peers, and explore STEM careers.

SEES Internship Deadline Nearing for U.S. GLOBE 10th and 11th Grade Students
The GLOBE U.S. Coordination Office is accepting applications from current GLOBE students for the STEM Enhancement in Earth Science (SEES) 2025 Summer Internship Program. Applications are due by 22 February.

Student Field Days at Earth Heart Farms - Fall 2024!
Another successful Fall 2024 Student Field Days at Earth Heart Farms has just concluded! Between 3 October and 17 October, over 350 students from Northwest Ohio K-12 schools visited, experienced nature firsthand, and enjoyed perfect weather for explorations. GLOBE Mission EARTH staff instructed students on collecting GLOBE data using Atmosphere, Hydrosphere, Biosphere and Pedosphere protocols. Local conservation professionals served as volunteers in helping students investigate flora and fauna.

GLOBE and Dr. John Francis Invite Educators and Students to Take a Planetwalk
Dr. John Francis, a long-time friend of GLOBE, is on a 6,000 mile journey to walk across the continent of Africa, from Cape Town to Cairo. Dr. Francis is a well-known environmental educator who stopped riding in motorized vehicles and stopped speaking for 17 years after witnessing an oil spill in the San Francisco Bay, California, USA.
