This past fall, the North American GLOBE community collected 1,695 Green-down measurements. We asked the community to tell us about their experiences. Here are just a few responses.  >>

Join the GLOBE North American Phenology Campaign this spring. The spring campaign is focused on monitoring and reporting plant green-up data to help validate the start of the plant growing season.  >>

U.S. GLOBE Partners, educators, and students: it’s almost time for the 2025 Regional Student Research Symposia (SRS). The symposia offer students in grades 5–12 the chance to discuss research projects with STEM professionals, share ideas with and learn from peers, and explore STEM careers.  >>

The GLOBE U.S. Coordination Office is accepting applications from current GLOBE students for the STEM Enhancement in Earth Science (SEES) 2025 Summer Internship Program. Applications are due by 22 February.  >>

Representatives of the GLOBE U.S. Coordination Office, attended the North American Association for Environmental Education (NAAEE) conference from 6-9 November in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  >>

On 14-15 November 2024, a team of GLOBE trainers and Partners headed to Upton, Mass., to present to K-12 Massachusetts educators.    >>

Another successful Fall 2024 Student Field Days at Earth Heart Farms has just concluded! Between 3 October and 17 October, over 350 students from Northwest Ohio K-12 schools visited, experienced nature firsthand, and enjoyed perfect weather for explorations. GLOBE Mission EARTH staff instructed students on collecting GLOBE data using Atmosphere, Hydrosphere, Biosphere and Pedosphere protocols. Local conservation professionals served as volunteers in helping students investigate flora and fauna.  >>

Dr. John Francis, a long-time friend of GLOBE, is on a 6,000 mile journey to walk across the continent of Africa, from Cape Town to Cairo. Dr. Francis is a well-known environmental educator who stopped riding in motorized vehicles and stopped speaking for 17 years after witnessing an oil spill in the San Francisco Bay, California, USA.  >>

GLOBE Mission Earth invites educators, citizen scientists, and students all over the world to participate in the Urban Heat Island Intensive Observation Period (UHI-IOP) throughout October.  >>
