Water Bodies Challenge
Location: Europe and Eurasia
GLOBE Europe and Eurasia invites all students to celebrate water we can see around us. Observe lake, river, stream, spring, seashore or any other water body and tell us about significance of the water area for the environment and for the community as well.
Deadline extended to April 30!!!
Dates: March 22 (World Water Day) – April 30
How to participate in Water Bodies Challenge
Make a video or create a StoryMap online about lake, stream, river, spring, seashore or any other water body you have close to your home. You can as well do both and upload your video to your StoryMap!
Submit both through an online form by April 30.
Participants who will meet the requirements will receive a GLOBE certificate and badge!
The best videos and StoryMaps will be presented to the international community on May 19 online meeting.
Student Video Requirements
Maximum 2 min long video
Mention GLOBE Program and answer the following questions in the video:
Why do you like to observe the water body you selected or collect data there?
What is the importance of the water body for environment and community?
You can shoot your video in English or in your own language. In both cases, add English subtitles to the video or write down the transcript of what was said on the video.
Send us a media release form signed by each adult and by a parent of each student in the video.
StoryMap Requirements:
Mention GLOBE Program and answer the following questions in the StoryMap:
Why do you like to observe the water body you selected or collect data there?
What is the importance of the water body for environment and community?
Add at least 3 images of the water body to your StoryMap
Add a map of the area where water body is located
StoryMap should be in English.
