GLOBE Partners

The expansion of GLOBE throughout the United States is a direct result of our Partnerships with U.S. organizations. Through these agreements, The GLOBE Program works diligently to recruit GLOBE schools, train GLOBE educators, and support teachers and their students in implementing GLOBE's protocols and research. To see if we have an active partner in your U.S. state or territory, check out our list of U.S. Partners.

If you'd like more information about joining GLOBE but can't find a active Partner in your area, contact the Community Support Team.

Student Research Symposia

Our regional Student Research Symposia (SRS) are great ways for your students to demonstrate their scientific skills. The U.S. GLOBE Office organizes six of these face-to-face symposia throughout the year, at which students can share their field measurements with professional scientists, engage in the scientific process, and network with their peers.

The symposia also have activities for teachers. In the days leading up to each event, teacher's can attend live webinars to learn about facilitating student research as well as connect with scientists and teachers to expand their educational community.

COVID-19 Update: Currently, our in-person events have been cancelled. However, you can always upload your SRS project to the GLOBE Student Research Reports page and use the tag 'Student Research Symposium.' We also encourage students to engage in the peer review process online and review each other's work.

Watercoolers

To facilitate stronger connections within the U.S. GLOBE community, the U.S. GLOBE Office holds weekly, virtual "Watercoolers." These are informal meet-ups focused on sharing ideas around a weekly theme, like "The Future of Forests" or "Running Online Programs."

These get-togethers are open to all U.S. teachers, Partners, and anyone else interested in attending.
