Northwest (U.S.) Regional Student Research Symposium

Registration is now open. Please register by May 1, 2018!

ALL event attendees (students, teachers, GLOBE partners, chaperones, etc.) must register individually and sign a media release (available through the registration form).

Teachers, Students, US Partnerships, scientists and alumni from the Northwest geographic area (AK, ID, MT, NE, ND, OR, SD, WA, WY) are invited to gather and discuss GLOBE student research projects at the third annual Northwest Student Research Symposium (SRS). This two-day event will include presentation of the student research entries to reviewers, professional development for teachers and networking opportunities for participants. There will be plenty of time to discuss collaborating within the region, too.

Please follow this page and the SRS webpage for the most current information.  If you have any questions about the research process or taking students to the SRS, please use the SRS Teacher Hotline

FAQ

What should I wear?

Symposium day is business casual. For all other days, wear regular school clothing. Check the weather before you come- there is sometimes snow on the ground even in June!

Should students bring spending money?

Meals during the event will be provided to all participants. If your team is funded through a GLOBE partnership, your meals during travel will be covered as well. Students are welcome to bring money for other incidentals or gift shops, but it is not necessary.
