Earth and Space Connection at ISS Downlink

Over 250 elementary aged youth engaged participated in the International Space Station (ISS) Downlink Event hosted at the Slover Library in Norfolk, VA. The students engaged in hands-on activities related to NASA prior to the in-flight education downlink with the space station crew members. The NASA GLOBE Clouds Team organized a learning station at the event where students learned about the iconic Earthrise image and created flipbooks of cloud cover data from NASA satellite images. type: globe-news
