For GLOBE teacher Diana Johns, every day is Earth Day
In the spring of 2017, the US. GLOBE Program, held six regional Student Research Symposia (SRS) where GLOBE data-collection protocols were used. In this series of feature stories, we profile a teacher and students from Crestwood High School in Michigan and their experience with GLOBE in the classroom and at the Midwest SRS at Purdue University in Indiana.

Full STE(A)M ahead in LA : Maria Mancia mixes English and Spanish Language Arts into GLOBE
In the spring of 2017, the U.S. GLOBE Program held six regional Student Research Symposia where teachers and students from schools across the country shared the results of their field investigations using GLOBE Program data collection protocols. In this story we profile a student-teacher team from Los Angeles, California who brought their research to NASA JPL for the 2017 Pacific Research Symposium.

2018 Northwest Student Research Symposium Highlights
The Northwest Region Student Research Symposium took place on 1-2 June 2018 at Montana State University in Bozeman, Montana. Hosted by GLOBE Partner Lynn Powers of the Southwest Montana Astronomical Society. 16 Students and 6 GLOBE teachers and science mentors from Montana, Alaska, South Dakota, Oregon, and Nebraska attended, with the students presenting a total of 7 GLOBE research projects in a poster presentation session. Student projects were reviewed both by their peers and by local scientists.

2018 Southwest Student Research Symposium
The Southwest U.S. GLOBE Student Research Symposium took place on 4-5 May 2018 at the University of Colorado and the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) in Boulder, Colorado. 32 Students and 7 GLOBE teachers from Colorado, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas attended, with the students presenting a total of 11 GLOBE research projects in a poster presentation session.

2018 Pacific Student Research Symposium Highlights
The Pacific U.S. GLOBE Student Research Symposium took place on 18-19 May 2018 hosted by Tracy Ostrom, WestED/CCASN, at NASA Ames in Mountain View, California. 72 Students and 21 GLOBE teachers and science mentors from California attended, with the students presenting a total of 23 GLOBE research projects in a poster presentation session. Student projects were reviewed both by their peers and by local scientists.

2018 Midwest Student Research Symposium Highlights
The Midwest U.S. GLOBE Student Research Symposium took place on 18-19 May 2018, hosted by David Bydlowski (Wayne RESA, AREN Project) at the Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, MI. 52 Students and 9 GLOBE teachers from MI and OH attended, with the students presenting a total of 31 GLOBE research projects in a poster presentation session.

2018 Northeast/Mid-Atlantic Student Research Symposium
The Northeast/Mid-Atlantic U.S. GLOBE Student Research Symposium took place on 4-5 May 2018 hosted by SUNY Fredonia, in Buffalo, NY. 59 Students and 14 GLOBE teachers from MA, PA, NY, NJ attended, with the students presenting a total of 25 GLOBE research projects in a poster presentation session.

2018 Southeast Student Research Symposium
The Southeast U.S. GLOBE Student Research Symposium took place on 19-20 April 2018 at the University of North Carolina, Charlotte. The Center for STEM Education, Cato College of Education hosted 32 Students and 15 GLOBE teachers. Participants traveled from Puerto Rico, Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama, North Carolina, Louisiana, Georgia, and Arkansas. Students presented a total of 14 GLOBE research projects to their peers and local scientists.
