I made this notebook because I wanted to make a better list of GLOBE schools with many measurements. At first, I tried to look at official metrics ( https://www.globe.gov/about/impact-and-metrics/schools-with-many-measurements ). Unfortunately, the number of data there was different from the number on official schools pages.
I asked for an explanation on the GLOBE forum, and I got the following response:

At the start of the month, i was invited by SAASTA, a body in South Africa that promotes science in schools to train teachers in 4 districts in 4 days in Mpumalanga. It took me 5hrs of drive from Pretoria to my first venue of training where 40 teachers from different schools welcomed us. Ghana GLOBE in March 2021 collaborated with Noguchi Memorial Institute to train four schools within Greater Accra and its environs on how to identify Mosquito species in their communities. A total of 20 students, four teachers and two STEM Coordinators were trained. The University of New Hampshire Carbon Cycle team has started to curate a list of resources that compliment GLOBE Carbon Cycle activities and Protocols . These include videos, websites, peer reviewed articles, and a Q&A section with Dr. Scott Ollinger , ecosystem ecologist at UNH and PI on the Carbon Cycle Project.

The big announcement this month was that we made the difficult decision to cancel the 2021 Student Research Symposia. We have some other activities that we will working on instead, which will support the IVSS and SRS into the future! Fall is a whirlwind of virtual meetings! We had the GLOBE North American Regional Meeting in mid-October and I attended some of the sessions of the GLOBE Europe and Eurasia Regional Meeting . This month we spent alot of time working through how to offer students who would have participated in the Student Research Symposia another option to share their work. We got it figured out and then the upload tool for reports had to be shut down! That was exciting! Thanks to the Community Support Team , we were able to accept the reports and get them up. Although not in the place they usually would be.

The Bahamas Globe Team is actively scouting to revitalize the program. We have been visiting schools and sharing the information about Globe as well as repairing weather enclosures that may have been damaged while seeking future locations at other schools for other ones.
