Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Task Force
Important: The GLOBE DEI Task Force has transitioned into the GLOBE Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Working group. For all current information related to DEI at GLOBE, check out the GLOBE DEI Working Group page.
With the support of GLOBE Program Sponsors from NASA and NSF, in the fall of 2019 the GLOBE DEI Task Force was formed with the goal of creating a GLOBE statement and implementation plan on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. In February 2020 the group met in Boulder, Colorado for a DEI workshop, and to begin working on these statements. This group has met monthly ever since to collaboratively produce the statements shown below. These statements and action plan were presented to the GLOBE Community at the 2020 Virtual Meeting. Una de las investigaciones ganadoras a nivel institucional fue la realizada por un grupo de estudiantes del 3° de secundaria. Ellas compararon el tiempo atmosférico de Lince, distrito donde se ubica la institución educativa, con Bellavista, Callao, distrito donde vive una de las estudiantes.
Las conclusiones a las que llegaron luego de su indagación fueron:
a.- La temperatura en Lince es variable; mientras que, en Bellavista baja demasiado por estar cerca al mar.
b.- La humedad en Bellavista se mantiene alta; mientras que, en Lince sube y se mantiene al pasar los días.
c.- Si existe relación entre la temperatura y la humedad de un distrito y son inversamente proporcionales, es decir mientras una variable sube la otra variable baja. Se puede decir que la variable independiente es la temperatura y la variable dependiente es la humedad.
d.- la presencia de nubes es el efecto de la alta humedad de un distrito.
