Dear Sir

I am interested to know how can a school collaborate with another school and to send it email ?

What about adding new plants in the Phenology Protocol ?

Hey Farid - we are about a week or two away from launching a tool that will help you search for teachers at other schools to collaborate with. We'll announce it when its complete. Should help do exactly what you're looking for.

One thing we've been debating about is what support would you need to facilitate collaboration beyond getting the other teacher's email...Or is email enough and you and the other teacher would be happy to collaborate with email alone? Anything that might help, or any ideas, let us know.

Hi Farid,

The Phenology Investigation has several protocols that involve plants. If you are referring to adding in trees, shrubs, or grasses for Budburst, Green-Up, or Green-Down then please send a request to GLOBE's Community Support at http://www.globe.gov/contact-globe and give them details about the plant type you want added including the genus and species name along with the type of vegetation it is (tree, shrub, grass). Your information will then be verified and if approved the plant name will be added.

If you are asking about including plants for Phenological Gardens or Lilacs. Those protocols were designed for specific plant types. Your request will be considered for future development.

Thank you

Farid--
This is a timely question.
Green-up and Green-down can be done on a large variety of disciduous trees and shrubs.
Lilacs have long been used in phenology studies, but there are certainly other plants that work.
Phenology gardens can include many plants as can ozone gardens.
Are there specific plants and phenology measurements that you would like to see included in GLOBE?

In case you didn't see the announcement, the new collaboration finder is located at the URL below..We'll need teachers to finish filling out some of their information so you can search by all the fields...take a look and let us know what you think..
