These message boards are a place for you to let us know about things that you would like to see as the website grows, and a place where you can contact us if you find something on the site that is broken or that does not work as you would expect.

This area of the site is not intended to replace a call to your normal Help Desk representative; it is to give you a place to leave a comment and to see comments from others (to get a sense of what areas of trouble others are having or features that other users are requesting).

On this page it states that if you make a teacher account: Your GLOBE Teacher account allows you access to all GLOBE protocols, the ability to report data to GLOBE scientists. However, if I understand well, this is not true, because you can only add data if you’re a trained teacher.

This is probably also why, if I login using my test account matbeg@gmail.com and want to enter data, i get a broken link. Could this be resolved by a page that tells you that you cannot enter data because you are not a trained teacher, with links to training possibilities?

Hi Matthijs,

This has been addressed by adding a special page that Account Requested and Interested Public users will now see when they click on the Enter Data button. If you want to test it, you'll need to create a new test account that doesn't already have a MyPage associated with it. It won't work with your current test account, even if you change the User Groups - the Enter Data button will take you to your Data Entry tab.
