As a partner/trainer/teacher role account, in my profile, I am allowed to set:

1) a number of students I reach (this could be the K-12 students I work with directly OR the number of teachers I train or both?)
2) a number of students doing GLOBE in my region (state of Iowa)
and
3) number of students doing GLOBE within my partnership (which happens to be the same as region because it covers the same schools as my region)

Liferay then adds these three numbers to come up with number of students. I don't think that is the most appropriate calculation for counting students reeached.

In my case, if I counted my teachers (let's say 250) for 1, and the number of students these teachers will work with in Iowa for 2 (250 teachers * 60 students per teacher = 15000) and the same value for the number of students doing GLOBE 'under my partnership' (also 15000) then my calculates number becomes 30250...but that is counting them twice. The most accurate calculation might be to add the number of students I say I reach personally to the number of students each of my schools in my partnership unbrella and make that my count. And have the state/province regional count = to the sum of all student counts for organizations within the region independent of the partnerships?

If the site stays as it is then we need more guidance about how to calculate the student counts for the page.

I will pass this on to Raytheon for review.
