Every Spring, Girls Scouts of Mississippi Hosts a Teen Camporee for Cadedette and Senior Scouts at Camp Iti Kana in Wiggins MS. This overnight experience also includes guest presenters to host badge workshops. INFINITY Science Center has had the privilege to partner with Girl Scouts of Mississippi for the last three years. This year's experience featured GLOBE Observer and cloud formation and observation protocols. 17 Girls ages 12-16 participated in an interactive cloud formation demonstration and learned how to recognize and name different cloud types. They followed a tutorial on how to input this information into the GLOBE Observer App. Using their knowledge combined with the GLOBE Observer App earns the girls several requirements toward their Citizen Science Badge and lets them become NASA scientists!
