Hello,

Our team from Lithuania, R. Samulevičius progymnasium school are opening another thread because we're only limited to observing trees that are close by our home due to quarantine.

Right now we are observing sour cherry (prunus cerasus) and common oak (quercus robur) trees.
The buds of cherry tree are beginning to swell as our oak's buds are still asleep.
The average temperature outside is 3 degrees Celcius, but it can get pretty warm in the daytime - up to 11 degrees Celcius.

We hope to see some of your photos of your trees soon.

Best regards,
Our team :-)

Hello,
We're back to update our status on our trees!
The cherry tree continues to budburst while our oak tree buds seem to begin to swell.
The average temperature is 9 Celcius degrees.

We're looking forward to your replies!

Hello! Our cherry and oak trees' buds have begun to open.

We measured 4 of the sprouting leaves from each tree:
Cherry: 41 mm, 38 mm, 36 mm, 42 mm.
Oak: 21 mm, 23 mm, 20 mm, 24 mm.

The data was taken in May 12th. That day the average temperature was 3°C.

We wish you all good health emoticon

Hello,

We're here again to update you with some more images of our trees. The leaves have grown substantially compared to ones we photographed a week ago (see the pictures). The average temperature is 16° Celcius - it's already getting warmer.

That's all for now.
Have a good weekend!

-Audronė Jaugėlienė & the students.
