Staying in touch with my students

Hello all 

With schools in Malta closed till September has brought many changes to our lifestyles. However, this did not stop our participation in the Phenology Campaign. In this post I want to share with you how I am staying in touch wit my students. I created a team on Microsoft Teams and send all updates re leaf growth there. I also assigned some tasks which my students can do at home. For example students are invited to do research on the Fig Tree, prepare a PowerPoint presentation, find recipes using the fruit of the fig tree, cook and prepare food using the fruits of the fig tree and also interview their grandparents about the culture/folklore related to the tree. Once their tasks are complete they will send me photos which I will then share on the school website.

Hope you find these ideas useful and pass them to your students as well. It would be interesting to learn about the different trees in the Campaign from a different persperctive - the cultural aspect.
