My students observe a cherry tree (Prunus avium) 25th October 2021.
The branch with leaves which we observed is turned to the southwest. The leaves are still green (5GY:7/12), unlike most other leaves on the tree which changed the colour.
We assume that due to less exposure to sunlight and lower surface temperatures of the leaves, the aging processes in the observed leaves are slowed down.
Today is sunny (19°C), the ground is dry.
