Eclipse Event at INFINITY

INFINITY Science Center hosted an Eclipse viewing event with our NASA partners from Stennis Space Center.  We had over 2300 people join us for this amazing event!  NASA hosted activity tables centered around the sun, moon and the eclipse while INFINITY hosted a GLOBE observer table.  We encouraged our guests to download the GLOBE observer app so they could be citizen scientists for the day (any hopefully beyond).  INFINITY was taking data as well and entering it into the special Eclipse data section and we were also charting our results for our guests to see.  INFINITY is located on the Gulf coast of Mississippi and we witnessed a 77% eclipse at our location.  The sun was hiding behind clouds off and on starting at noon but at 1:20 pm, the skies cleared and everyone had a fantastic view. type: globe-news
