A Day in the Life of the Great Lakes Tributaries

The Institute for Research in Science Teaching partnered with the New York State Department of Conservation's Reinstein Woods to conduct "A Day in the Life of the Great Lakes Tributaries". This event builds on the incredible work that Reinstein Woods has done over the past six years and this year helped the teachers involved to bring GLOBE Hydrology protocols into the work they are doing in their classrooms.

The October 3rd event had students from 16 classrooms sampling Great Lakes Tributaries at 14 sample sites across Western New York. The event involved over 300 students; 70 adults and 8 partner organizations.

This work was supported through funding from the NOAA B-WET Great Lakes initiative.
