Please bring STEM tools available at your school. In particular, digital max-min ambient air thermometer and hygrometer, IR surface thermometer, digital weighing scale that can weigh to the tenth of a gram up to 200 grams, rain gauge, and pH meter. Also, download onto your smart phone GLOBE Data Entry App from Google Play or iTunes.  >>

The workshop shall be in support of the mission of GPM, Global Precipitation Measurement, and SMAP, Soil Moisture Active and Passive. Registrants are encouraged to do the eTraining on the www.globe.gov. Participants are expected to have completed the eTraining modules on www.globe.gov. The workshops will reinforce and confirm learning on cloud protocols and introduce soil and water protocols, and the earth-sun-moon system.  >>

To support the SMAP satellite mission, NASA has initiated a 7-month-long Soil Moisture Measurement Campaign and invites GLOBE schools to participate. The SMAP Campaign begins 1 October 2015 and will be ongoing through 30 April 2016.  >>

Since 2008, an international team of GLOBE scientists, teachers and students have been trekking to the summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania to evaluate the evolving ecosystem of the largest freestanding mountain in the world. The 2015 Mt. Kilimanjaro Xpedition begins on 24 September.  >>
