Annular Eclipse

On 14 October 2023, an annular eclipse took place in North, Central and South America. Many people submitted air temperature, clouds and land cover observations using The GLOBE Program’s GLOBE Observer app’s Eclipse tool on the day of the eclipse.  You can check out the air temperature data graphic while we await more science results from the science team taking a look at the data.

You can also review any data you submitted during the eclipse by opening the GLOBE Observer app.

To learn more about this past eclipse and the upcoming total solar eclipse in April 2024 (and to access supportive resources -- available in English and Spanish), please go here.
