Reunión Anual Virtual GLOBE 2020

Este año la crisis epidemiológica mundial cambió el rumbo y los planes de todas las actividades GLOBE 2020. Desde GIO analizaron la situación y decidieron adaptar todo lo planeado a la virtualidad.

En el mes de julio se realizó por primera vez en estos 25 años la Reunión Anual GLOBE de forma 100% virtual. Se utilizó una aplicación que contenía las actividades, la agenda, los oradores, los sponsors, los alumnos, los participantes, las actividades en comunidad y las redes sociales.

Las sesiones masivas se realizaron por streaming mediante la plataforma de Youtube, mientras que las pequeñas mediante la plataforma Zoom. A lo largo de los cuatro días, alumnos pudieron exponer, oradores de los distintos grupos de trabajo contaron sus planes para trabajar y los Coordinadores Regionales expresaron sus ideas para lo que queda del año.

Si bien fue una experiencia distinta, en la cual nos faltó la relación cara a cara. Esto permitió que muchas personas que no tuvieron la posibilidad y los recursos para ir otros años, puedan participar de este espectacular y tan especial evento.

This year the global epidemiological crisis changed the course and plans of all GLOBE 2020 activities. From GIO they analyzed the situation and decided to adapt everything planned to virtuality.

In July, the GLOBE Annual Meeting was held for the first time in 25 years in a 100% virtual way. An application was used that contained the activities, the agenda, the speakers, the sponsors, the students, the participants, the community activities and the social networks.

The massive sessions were carried out by streaming through the YouTube platform, while the small ones through the Zoom platform. Throughout the four days, students were able to present, speakers from the different working groups told their plans to work, and the Regional Coordinators expressed their ideas for the remainder of the year.

Although it was a different experience, in which we lacked a face-to-face relationship. This allowed many people who did not have the opportunity and the resources to go other years, to participate in this spectacular and so special event.
