I Congreso Latinoamericano de Ciencia Ciudadana
El 9, 10 y 11 de junio se llevará a cabo en formato virtual el “I Congreso Latinoamericano de Ciencia Ciudadana” aplicado a la educación en la región de Latinoamérica y el Caribe entre las 17.00 y las 20.00 (ART).
La ciencia ciudadana es una invitación al público general para involucrarse en actividades científicas siguiendo protocolos. Se trata de fomentar la contribución activa de los ciudadanos en la investigación a través de su esfuerzo intelectual, conocimiento general o recursos. Este tipo de ciencia permite a los investigadores mayor interacción con el público y aprovecha fuentes de datos no tradicionales.
Durante las 3 jornadas del congreso se profundizará sobre la ciencia ciudadana en la educación formal, en contextos de educación no formal y redes y comunidades de práctica de ciencia ciudadana. Los objetivos son compartir estrategias y recursos de ciencia ciudadana; facilitar la colaboración entre proyectos para investigar, documentar y compartir resultados e impactos de la ciencia ciudadana en educación y brindar acceso a herramientas y recursos innovadores con potencial para mejorar la calidad de la educación.
El evento se encuentra organizado por la Oficina Regional GLOBE para América Latina y el Caribe junto con la maestría de Enseñanza de Ciencias Exactas y Naturales de la Universidad Nacional de La Rioja (UNLAR, Argentina), la Universidad Nacional del Comahue (UNCOMA, Argentina), la Universidad de las Américas (UDLA, Chile) e integrantes de la Universidad Nacional Agraria La Molina (UNALM, Perú).
Se invita a docentes de todos los niveles, estudiantes de grado, posgrado y profesorado, investigadores en educación y quienes se encuentren interesados en la enseñanza de las ciencias a participar llenando el formulario de inscripción, en el evento en la página GLOBE o en la página oficial del congreso: https://dacefyn.unlar.edu.ar/clacic/#home.

On June 9, 10 and 11, the "I Latin American Congress of Citizen Science" will be held in virtual format, applied to education in the Latin American and Caribbean region.
Citizen science invites the general public to get involved in scientific activities following protocols. It is all about promoting the active contribution of citizens in research through their intellectual effort, general knowledge or resources. This type of science allows researchers greater interaction with the public and takes advantage of non-traditional data sources.
During the 3 days of the congress, citizen science both in formal and non-formal education will be studied in depth along with citizen science networks and communities of practice. The objectives are to share citizen science strategies and resources; facilitate collaboration between projects to research, document and share results and impacts of citizen science in education and provide access to innovative tools and resources with the potential to improve the quality of education.
The event is organized by the GLOBE Regional Office for Latin America and the Caribbean together with the master's degree in Teaching of Exact and Natural Sciences of the National University of La Rioja (UNLAR, Argentina), the National University of Comahue (UNCOMA, Argentina) , the University of the Americas (UDLA, Chile) and members of the National Agrarian University La Molina (UNALM, Peru).
