Tercera edición de la Feria de Ciencias Virtual de GLOBE LAC
El miércoles 31 de mayo y jueves 1° de junio se llevó a cabo la tercera edición de la Feria de Ciencias Virtual de la región de Latinoamérica y el Caribe. Durante las dos jornadas del evento de estudiantes y maestros de Argentina, Brasil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Guatemala, Panamá, Perú, Paraguay, República Dominicana y Uruguay presentaron –mediante videos- los trabajos de investigación que realizaron para el IVSS (International Virtual Science Symposium) del 2023.

Uno de los trabajos presentados fue "Relación entre el avistamiento de mariposas, las variables ambientales y la vegetación del patio escolar", el ganador de la región. Este fue realizado por el maestro GLOBE Darío Greni y sus alumnos de la Escuela N°88 “Alfredo B. Nobel” (Uruguay). También se presentaron trabajos colaborativos entre estudiantes argentinos y españoles, así como trabajos realizados por estudiantes de distintas partes del mundo.
Durante ambas jornadas del evento, se generó un enriquecedor intercambio de ideas, sugerencias, avances y propuestas de colaboración entre escuelas de distintos países. También se brindó un valioso espacio de inspiración para presentar trabajos en el IVSS, recordando el objetivo fundamental de este evento que es el aprendizaje conjunto. Como mencionó el maestro GLOBE Erquinio Taborda (Colombia) “Seguimos trabajando con todas las observaciones que, desde GLOBE nos proporcionan, para que los chicos conozcan hacer ciencia y desarrollar sus habilidades a través de nuestro trabajo conjunto”.
El maestro GLOBE, Emiliano Vinocur (Argentina) nos transmitió las siguientes palabras “Agradecemos enormemente al Programa GLOBE. Desde nuestra escuela 1345 de Pujato estamos felices de haber trabajado el intercambio, compartir las cosas y los proyectos […] se dio una gran unión que si no fuera por el Programa no se hubiera dado. Estamos súper orgullosos […] Podemos seguir ampliando nuestra investigación que arrancó con un árbol de la escuela, este año hicimos cinco y con la última medición hicimos setenta y cinco árboles diversos. Gracias a esto ampliamos nuestros conocimientos”.
La tercera edición de la Feria de Ciencias Virtual de GLOBE LAC fue un espacio de transmisión de dedicación, creatividad y espíritu colaborativo de todos los participantes.

On Wednesday, May 31 and Thursday, June 1, the third edition of the Virtual Science Fair of the Latin America and Caribbean region was held. During the two days of the event, students and teachers from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Guatemala, Panama, Peru, Paraguay, Paraguay and Uruguay presented -through videos- the research work they carried out for the IVSS (International Virtual Science Symposium) of 2023.

One of the works presented was "Relationship between butterfly sightings, environmental variables and schoolyard vegetation", the winner of the region. This was carried out by GLOBE teacher Darío Greni and his students from School No. 88 "Alfredo B. Nobel" (Uruguay). Collaborative works between Argentine and Spanish students were also presented, as well as works carried out by students from different parts of the world.
During both days of the event, there was an enriching exchange of ideas, suggestions, progress and proposals for collaboration between schools from different countries. It also provided a valuable space for inspiration to present work at the IVSS, recalling the fundamental objective of this event, which is joint learning. As mentioned by GLOBE teacher Erquinio Taborda (Colombia) "We continue working with all the observations that GLOBE provides us, so that the children know how to do science and develop their skills through our joint work".
The GLOBE teacher Emiliano Vinocur (Argentina) transmitted us the following words "We are very grateful to the GLOBE Program. From our school 1345 in Pujato we are happy to have worked on the exchange, sharing things and projects [...] there was a great union that would not have happened if it were not for the Program. We are very proud [...] We can continue expanding our research, which started with one tree in the school, this year we did five and with the last measurement we did seventy-five different trees. Thanks to this we have expanded our knowledge".
The third edition of the GLOBE LAC Virtual Science Fair was a space for transmission of dedication, creativity and collaborative spirit of all participants.
