GLOBE Welcomes New Partnering Country: Republic of Armenia
In June, U.S. Ambassador to the Republic of Armenia Lynne Tracy met with the Acting Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports (ESCS) Vahram Dumanyan; ESCS Deputy Minister Arthur Martirosyan; the newly appointed United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Armenia Mission Director John Allelo; and Officer of the U.S. Embassy in Armenia on political and economic issues Oleg Sokola in order to welcome the Republic of Armenia to the GLOBE community.  >>

Today (07 July) is the Last Day to Register for the 2021 GLOBE Annual Meeting
The 2021 GLOBE Annual Meeting will take place from 12-16 July, and the last day to register is 07 July. The theme of the meeting is “Adapting to a Changing GLOBE.” There will be three session strands that describe the themes of the Community Sessions: Strand 1 – Responding to a Changing GLOBE; Strand 2 – A Welcoming GLOBE; and Strand 3: STEM, Teaching, and GLOBE.  >>

On 22 June, GIO hosted a webinar, “GLOBE Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion: Pride Month.” Trevor Brown from NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS) in the Climate Change Research Initiative (CCRI) program discussed his research, how he teaches GLOBE, the beginning of “Pride in the United States,” and how to make scientific spaces more inclusive for the LGBTQ+ community.  >>

Over 200 Million Measurements Now Entered in GLOBE Database!
