Year of Climate and Carbon: A GLOBE Action and Awareness Campaign Design Submissions
The Year of Climate and Carbon (YCC) is a year-long GLOBE action and awareness campaign supported by the GLOBE Implementation Office, in collaboration with the GLOBE Program Office.
The purpose of this year-long campaign is to build student climate and data literacy skills by encouraging students' exploration and use of GLOBE protocols and data to improve their understanding of the Earth System changes over time.
With a focus on phenology and the carbon cycle, students worldwide are invited to consider what environmental changes are emerging in their local ecosystems and how they can pursue further understanding by collecting phenological and biomass data.
GIO is encouraging the GLOBE community, specifically students, to design and submit a design that represents the Year of Climate and Carbon. The design will be incorporated into the campaign logo. Submissions will be accepted through 31 August 2023. Finalists will be selected by representatives from each GLOBE Region. Final logo design will be managed by the GLOBE Implementation Office.
