As always, GLOBE continues to work to ensure that your “use” of the website, and associated apps, is as user-friendly as possible. GLOBE’s Data and Information Systems (DIS) team is working on a number of new features, with plans to release these in time for Earth Day (22 April).

 These features include:

  • a new and improved account creation process;
  • improved support for teachers, with new tutorials and a “Teacher Roadmap” (designed to help outline the steps to “Doing GLOBE”);
  • additional support for informal education organizations, which will allow informal education organizations like museums, scout troops, or after‑school programs to take advantage of some of the features provided to formal school organizations); and
  • biosphere data entry forms for The GLOBE Program’s app, GLOBE Observer (by Earth Day, GLOBE Observer will have atmosphere, biosphere and hydrosphere protocols available for all trained users);

A variety of smaller enhancements and bug fixes are also pushed out monthly. Last month, these included enhancements to the Teams pages, as well as support for publishing new content for all GLOBE content editors.
